Zero Online
Every so often you'll run across one of those games that sucks you in, making you stay up until the wee hours of the morning as you quest and grind, and grind some more. Zero Online is a sci-fi online game developed and published by TQ Digital Entertainment.
In the world of Zero, the players no more play as warriors or mages in a desolate land but the pilots who master high-tech weapons, fighting in the immense universe. Shuttling between the numerous galaxies, the units of various forms and functions are navigated by the pilots to fight against ferocious alien enemies. It is an epic war: battling for the Earth Alliance is the pilots' ultimate honor and eternal duty.
The game 'does' look nice. The battles are epic, even when flying solo, charging your mech into a mosh pit of somewhat-certain death, though knowing that you'll be victorious as you stand over the smoldering wreckage of the enemies below you. The quests are pretty decent, with a bit of awkwardly translated 'engrish' that attempts to give you a semblance of a story, if you choose to pay attention to it. PvP is there, and decently done, though often turning into more of a clickfest as you try to sort out your enemies from your squadmates.
