Lineage 2

This game does have a learning curve, controls, ui, but it does give you some feeling of accomplishment which I havent felt since the early days of daoc. Lineage 2 was, is and will stay one of a kind MMO. It isn't just a simple korean grind, it's a world. Lineage 2 is best at what it is focused on: Clans and Large-scale PvP. When you die in L2, you aren't just taken back to the town with a lame death penalty. It will make you feel like you were defeated. You really have to give 100% in order for you to get anything out of it. As for what the game is about, it is about the politics and the people.

This is not a quest game. The rewards are laugable at best and infuriating at worst. The dev's have created a pvp sandbox game. It have some strengths that out classes every other MMO today. First of, the graphics and the design. Sure, the unreal-engine is old like stone but amazingly enough the game still looks stunning. I love the Graphics, Sound, Character Looks and most of all I love they way they fight. Each class tree offers a relatively unique character progression experience with each class having some form of unique skill contribution to the game.

Generally speaking, L2 game play probably is not optimised for solo play. From your first class change at 20 the game is really about groups and clans. Crafting in L2 is  more of the same.  99% of crafting is gathering insane amounts of materials by killing mobs.  The entire dwarf race is dedicated to crafting making them rather lacking at most other things. Lineage 2 is awesome game, no doubt about it, just cant find many people in the game coordinated enough or willing to accept someone who isnt maxed level.

Lineage 2
