The Age of Exploration promised great wealth and power to those who braved the space lanes and sought their riches amongst the distant stars. It is a dangerous place, however. Pirates and rebels stalk the Outer Rim, and hostile aliens encroach from the fringes of known space. The Federation of Races cannot protect all of the fledgling colonies, and lawlessness runs rampant out beyond the military fortresses of the Inner Core.
In TDZK we move around a lot to trade or to look who is in the other port. The actual movement is done by clicking the movement buttons on the navigation panel in the top left of the screen. Another way to move is by clicking the sector numbers outside of ports. These sector numbers are located on the right middle part of the screen. In TDZK you use 1 turn to move 1 sector. You also use 1 turn for docking and undocking from ports or planets . You can think of planets as player-owned ports for now. When leaving a system you go through a node that will cost you 5 turns. And if you use a jumpdrive which can be bought at some stations you will use 10 turns. Attacking another player will cost 4 turns per combat round while attacking someone's sector forces will use 3 of your turns per combat round. Picking up cargo or items costs a few turns that depends on your gather equation, items are always picked up one at a time for 1 turn each.
