The Entropia Universe is truly a virtual universe. This means that you can do many of the things you would do in real life, as well as many other futuristic activities, within the Entropia Universe. Newly arrived colonists can choose from a range of activities including hunting, mining, manufacturing, tailoring and more. Entropia Universe back when it was Project Entropia around 5-6 years back was very affordable and funny. Best community i ever seen, i could spend days in that game back then. Today its just a ghost of what i was. It looks prettier and is bigger, but it lost its magic and it lost its mind. Prices are retarded and the community is filled with scammers and money hungry souls.
Real world currencies may be transferred into your secure Entropia Universe account where they are then exchanged into PED. The PED currency is directly connected to the real world economy through a fixed exchange rate with the US dollar. With Entropia, theres is much more enjoyment out of the game, every creature you kill you will be at the edge of your seat, as every creature can loot money that has actual real value in the form of $. So say after a few years of depositing and playing the game, you decide to quit for some reason - you won't feel like the game used and abused you like other mmo's, as you can simply withdraw the cash that your avatar is worth and you feel much better for it.
The game is basically just an online casino with rpg elements tacked on to provide the user with something to do while they pump cash into the virtual slot machine and line the companies pockets. The players that actually make a living off of EU have been playing the game since it launched, and have invested massive quantities of both time and money in order to see a return on there investment. It is literally an impossibility for a new player to accomplish that now, because the veterans have monopolized the all of the biggest money makers for themselves.
