Elysarian Kingdoms (EK) is a free, browser-based MMORPG set in the fantasy world of Elysaria, a world where monsters roam freely and warriors and mages fight for control of land and riches. Upon selecting a name, password and race you will be thrust into a tumultuous world of chaos with thousands of other players all competing for power and riches. The game takes place on a 25 by 25 map on which you may freely move about. Players are able to battle monsters as well as each other as a means to improve stats and gain gold. MMORPG Data
In the game one of the main aims (as outlined in the objectives section) is to gain stats, you do this by fighting monsters with spells and weapons. Most players will choose to specialize in either casting (using a spell to attack a monster) or fighting (specific term for using a weapon to cause damage to the monster) though it is not necessary to do so. Some races are better at one attacking style than another.
Life - determines your relative toughness or "hit points".
Strength (Str) - determines the amount of damage you are able to inflict with your weapon.
Weapon Skill (WS) - determines how often you will hit and whether you will have first strike.
Agility (Agi) - determines how often you will dodge attacks.
Intelligence (Ntl) - determines the strength of your spells.
Wisdom (Wis) - determines the likelihood that your spell will hit and whether it will hit first.
Contravention (Cont) - determines you ability to interrupt your opponent's casting.
There is also another stat, Level; this is a general indicator of a player's power. After successfully fighting a battle you get to choose a stat to raise, you must click on the button of your chosen stat before you may fight again. One button is marked with 'Rnd' which means random and will randomly select a stat to raise. Using the Random button is not recomended for effective stat raising.
To start a kingdom simply find an abandoned territory and click 'Settle' to claim the land for yourself, settling a kingdom will create an area of 5 x 5 where you can construct a number of structures to improve your kingdom. To enter your land simply click the button marked 'Enter', there is a similar button marked 'Leave' at 0,0 in your kingdom to leave it. As a king or queen you have the option to set a kingdom name and description, change the tax rate, hire a guard and buy new structures for your kingdom. If you or your spouse own a kingdom you may not enter the kingdom of any other player bar your spouse, children if you have them, and your and your spouse's duke or duchess.
